London Underground Tyvek Mighty WalletThe great thing about Tyvek is that it's paper-like qualities make it perfect for printing. It will take a detailed, multicoloured image really well. This makes it perfect for really decorative wallets and also for wallets printed with useful information.

The London Underground map ticks both 'useful' and 'decorative' boxes at the same time. The iconic stylised Tube map has a unique look that evolved from a design by an electrical engineer. A purely graphical representation, it focuses on the order in which trains reach stations, rather then the geographical location of each station in relation to each other. The bright, primary colours make a complex data set visually accessible and easy to read at a glance. The design is a classic and has be copied all over the world.

Carrying the map printed on a Tyvek Wallet won't be as useful as carrying the complete map with you as bits of the diagram vanish into the credit card pockets or into folds in the wallet, but many of the lines are visible on the outside of the wallet. It's a classic design that is probably one of the most easily recognisable Tyvek designs, along with the Airmail wallet.

Star Trek Wallets

Star Trek Wallets

Star Trek Wallets, boldly going where no Tyvek Wallet has gone before.

It's hard to believe now, what with the films, the iconic uniforms and the massive, massive franchise, but the original series of Star Trek only ran for three years. Between 1966 and 1969, Kirk and his crew encountered, killed and had dubious relations with more strangely coloured alien species than you can shake a phaser at.

If you wondered at the strange hairy dogs with horns, boggled and the green dancing ladies and longed for your very own pet Tribble, then a Star Trek Wallet might be for you.

These wallets have the standard Tyvek Wallet configuration with a single long pocket for notes and a couple of card slots. There's a choice of two wallets featuring classic images from the Star Trek original series. One features Kirk and Spock with the words Star Trek across the top. The other shows a larger image of Spock with smaller images of Kirk, Sulu and the Enterprise. Inside both wallets there's some great retro comic book images.

Star Trek Tyvek Wallet Inside

If you're of a more technical disposition, you'll love the Enterprise Tyvek Wallet. Featuring cut away illustrations of the old Enterprise NCC-1701 on the inside and outside of the wallet,  this is the perfect wallet for engineering types. You don't get the kind of detail you would on the Enterprise Haynes Manual, but you still get enough detail to see general deck layouts.

USS Enterprise Tyvek Wallet

Not only will you be reminded of the happy days of star travel when the Prime Directive was really only an optional guideline every time you take out your wallet, but it's a great conversation starter with other Star Trek geeks at the supermarket.

Airmail Tyvek Wallet

Airmail Tyvek Wallet

The Airmail design Tyvek Wallet has been around for years, and it's still a firm favourite with many.

The design fits so well because the instantly recognisable airmail envelope design. People may write few letters these days when it's so much more convenient to send off an email, but the airmail envelope is a classic. Airmail is designed to be lightweight and slim, and so is the Tyvek Wallet, so it's a perfect fit.  The dimensions work really well too, at first glance, it really could be an airmail envelope in your pocket. The faux postmark is a particularly nice touch.

Like all the modern Mighty Wallets, this one has a long pocket for notes and a couple of slots for cards, perfect for those that travel light.

Coin Stash Keyring

Keep your coins on your keyring.

As you've probably noticed, Tyvek Wallets rock but they're not designed for carrying change. Just occasionally you're going to need to odd pound coin or the like and so here's a coin carrying solution to go along with your Tyvek Wallet so you're not stuck without a coin when you need it.

Perfect for bus fare, parking meters and even the totally unglamorous supermarket trolley, the Coin Stash will store away 5 pound coins in a cool brushed metal capsule that'll hang on your keyring. Just unscrew the top from the bottom and slot in your coins. It even has a particularly nice feature, a spring to stop coins clinking around inside when the Coin Stash isn't totally full.  It's designed specifically for pound coins, but there's no reason why you can't put smaller coins in too if you need to.

It's the perfect companion to a Tyvek Wallet, taking care of the change and leaving your wallet sleek, slim, smooth and comfortable in your pocket. Just as it should be. There's nothing worse that a lumpy, bumpy huge wallet jammed with 10ps.

You can find the Coin Stash at Firebox - £4.12

The tri-fold design allows for a slightly longer wallet with two folds and three wallet segments. Some people prefer the tri-fold design, but if you want the choice of all the latest Tyvek Wallet designs, you'll need to go for a bi-fold Tyvek wallet instead as all the new designs don't come in a tri-fold version.
